The Mara Dyer Part 1 / Book Review

I had to wait a week so i could write about these books together. I wanted to read them for a little while and finally i did it. There was something catching in the description, and i really love supernatural and magic books, specially when the protagonist has powers.
Mara Dyer doesn’t think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.
It can.

She believes there must be more to the accident she can’t remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.
There is.

She doesn’t believe that after everything she’s been through, she can fall in love.
She’s wrong.

Mara Dyer once believed she could run from her past.
She can’t.

She used to think her problems were all in her head.
They aren’t.

She couldn’t imagine that after everything she’s been through, the boy she loves would still be keeping secrets.
She’s wrong.

In this gripping sequel to The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, the truth evolves and choices prove deadly. What will become of Mara Dyer next?

The books, which i really enjoyed, had their good parts and bad parts. A girl wakes up in the hospital, after being in a very old asylum with her best friend, boyfriend and the his boyfriend sister, when something went totally wrong, and the building crashed. Mara is of course the only survivor, or at least, that's what she thought.
Her mother, who is a psychologist, and her father, a layer, decided to move the family to another city to help Mara to recover for the trauma.
The problem is that even in other city, Mara is not herself, she had hallucinations, while she started to notice how people who she hated in some way died in mysterious ways.
Till that point the book was pretty interesting and entertained, until Mara discover this boy who is like a greek god, beautiful, gorgeous and extremely rich, and btw, he's british! So we have the exotic, pretty handsome and totally bad boy who can't help himself but needs to be close to our very simple but kind of dangerous protagonist, which i thought is a total cliché. I really wish to read a book in which people said "She was gorgeous and totally awesome, a powerful and secure girl, and she didn't felt sorry for it", apparently people love the  next door girl more, the clumsy one especially.
Everything was now against Mara, because nobody believes in her, except sexy boy, who totally believes in her and is going to protect her no matter what. (he actually say that). Mara was sent to a psychiatric hospital after she tried to kill herself, which was a setup for the disturbing evil character which i'm not going to say who he or she is in case you decide to read the books, and then more unbelievable things happen, of course sexy boy even got in trouble to be sent to the same hospital or clinic as Mara and be with her.
The third book is expected in 2014, and of course, even when there were a few things that annoyed me, i'm can not wait to read it.
At the end the theme is interesting, and like i said is catching, clichés and everything.
